Hi, I’m Ishika Jauhar—a fashion creative turned media enthusiast with a master’s degree from the UK and over four years of experience working in the fashion industry as a freelancer.

My journey into publishing began unexpectedly during a university blog assignment, where I discovered a deep love for storytelling. I’ve always been drawn to creative expression, and writing quickly became my favorite medium—whether it’s articles, features, or cultural commentary. I thrive on researching, forming my own perspectives, and writing with a voice that’s unapologetically my own.

Recently, I decided to channel that passion into a bold new chapter—pivoting from fashion to media. That shift led to the birth of Her Empire, a digital women’s magazine I’m excited to officially launch soon.

I’m now looking to take the next step in my career by joining a professional editorial team as an Editorial Assistant, where I can contribute creatively while learning from experienced editors. I’m proactive, detail-oriented, and thrive in fast-paced, idea-driven environments. To strengthen my foundation in media and journalism, I’m also completing coursework from the University of Pennsylvania via Coursera.
